Summary — short & simple

TipSplit Cal is an offline-first app. All user data (bills, tip presets, settings, and receipts) is stored locally on your device. We do not send or store your data on our servers. We do not collect analytics or personal information.

What we store on your device

• Saved bills and receipts (including amounts, tips, splits, and timestamps)
• Locally exported PDFs you choose to generate and save

What we do NOT do

• We do not upload your bills, receipts, or personal data to any server.
• We do not collect or send analytics, usage telemetry, or crash logs.
• We do not share data with advertisers, partners, or third parties.
• There is no account or sign-in requirement — nothing is stored centrally.

Permissions

The app requests only the minimum permissions required to operate. For example, if you choose to export or share a PDF receipt, the app may request access to your device's file picker or sharing sheet. These actions are initiated by you and are not automatic.

Security

We follow best practices for local storage and file generation. However, local data can be accessed by anyone who has access to your unlocked device or backup. Protect your device with a passcode, biometrics, or device-level encryption.

Children

The app is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update this page. Significant changes (such as adding cloud features or any data collection) will be announced in the app and require your explicit opt-in.
